Secure Truck Parking in South EAST QUEENSland

Go Park Yourself was set up to meet an ongoing issue in the Australian transport industry – where can you legally park your truck that is accessible, affordable and safe?

Truck parking was a constant problem during our 15 years in the transport industry. We spent enormous amounts of time and effort trying to find a suitable depot to park trucks. But options for large vehicle parking in Australia are limited. We found that our only choices for heavy vehicle parking were:

Small yards
But these are often prohibitively expensive for small fleets and independent operators. We just couldn’t justify the cost!
Industrial estates
Here the parking was free but far from secure! We faced constant issues, including accidental damages from passing motorists, graffiti and theft (of fuel, batteries and even a DPF filter worth $7,500!).
Residential areas
But a crackdown by many local councils is making this increasingly impossible (for example, Brisbane City Council may issue fines of over $750 for any “heavy and long vehicles” that are caught “parking for longer than one hour within 100m of any residential land”.
Secure truck parking depots
We tried to find space in existing truck parking facilities, but these were few and far between, with almost no parking spaces available.

The solution became obvious: create a purpose-built facility for secure truck parking in Queensland. Our aim was to offer convenient, affordable and secure truck parking in Brisbane, with a business model that could expand over time to meet the growing needs of the Australian transport industry.

Security Patrols 7 Nights A Week

At Go Park Yourself, providing state-of-the-art security for our customers has always been one of our top concerns. After all, there’s no point in paying for heavy truck parking if the site doesn’t include some top-notch security!

Our truck parking facility in Wacol is completely enclosed by protective fencing and includes high-powered car park lighting for optimal visibility at night. The only access in and out of the property is through our automatic security gate. This high-tech feature not only adds an additional layer of protection but also makes access incredibly simple. The gate controls contain a receiver that can only be activated by calls from a registered number. As a Go Park Yourself customer, your preferred mobile number will be added to the database, giving you instant and easy access whenever you want to come in or out of the depot.

In addition to our 24-hour CCTV video surveillance system, we also have security personnel conducting routine patrols 7 nights a week.
